The Robert Malkovsky II Memorial Fund
Award:
We have established a memorial scholarship dedicated to Mr. Mal and his legacy. Many of us were inspired and encouraged to enter the sciences thanks to his guidance, while many more came to a better understanding of physics thanks to his tireless effort, creativity and artistry. The fund awards two annual scholarships of $2,500 each to a male and female graduating senior entering the sciences at a four year University. This helps defray some schooling cost for the students, and is a fitting tribute and a lasting remembrance. Each year the finalists are selected by the Penncrest Scholarship Committee, and the Donor Board selects the scholarship recipients.

All donations are tax deductible through The Community's Foundation, a (501 (c)(3)) organization, via a fund named “The Robert Malkovsky II Memorial Fund.” Donations will be supported electronically through their website or via check. To donate via check please send to:

Award Criteria:
1. Nominee must be a senior preparing to graduate from Penncrest High School.
2. Nominee must be admitted to a four-year college or university in the academic year following his/her graduation date from Penncrest High School.
3. At that institution, the nominee must be majoring in a qualified field of science, technology, engineering or mathematics. (Qualification of the nominee’s major is at the discretion of the Scholarship Committee and Donor Board)
4. Nominee must have displayed significant proficiency within the science department curriculum at Penncrest High School.
5. Nominee must have a history of contribution(s) to extracurricular activities within the science department, including but not limited to envirothon, Physics Olympics, or Science Olympiad.
6. Nominee must have a history of contribution(s) to society through volunteer activities such as participation in societies, social programs, clubs, or other recognized service organizations, or extracurricular activities such as athletics or the performing arts.
